Tasha Holmstrom, a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor is the founder of San Roque Pilates and specialist in Pilates for Rehabilitation. Over the past fifteen years, Tasha has developed an extensive and diverse background in the areas of fitness, nutrition and wellness. She started a career in health and wellness becoming a certified massage therapist and aesthetician. Inspired by the healing mind/body fitness properties of Pilates, Tasha obtained her first Pilates certification through PhysicalMind Institute and began teaching Pilates in 2000 at studios throughout Palm Springs and later in Santa Barbara. Wanting to deepen her knowledge of the rehabilitative aspects of Pilates led Tasha to STOTT PILATES® in 2008 where she obtained a full certification after an intensive program of study and training. Tasha is fully certified in all levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) of STOTT mat work, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, injuries and special populations, and Pilates for Rehabilitation. Tasha has an insatiable passion for learning and continues to deepen her knowledge of anatomy and movement. Additionally she became certified in ZEN•GA™, CORE™ athletic conditioning, and Total Barre™ instruction through Merrithew. Tasha’s detailed style of instruction is praised by her loyal following of clientele. Last year, Tasha added a certification in Bootybarre™ to her long resume. She attended multiple certification courses in Bootybarre™, learning directly from the founder Tracey Mallet. In addition to her fitness training, Tasha is also a certified nutritionist with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition which enables her to provide her clients with comprehensive coaching in both fitness and nutrition. She continues to take multiple trainings and certifications annually to stay current with everything happening in the fitness industry.

Jo Landis Shields

Pilates Instructor

Jo considers teaching Pilates her dream job, as it allows her to combine her love of fitness and passion for helping others. She loves to see Pilates enhance and transform the lives of her clients. Jo believes Pilates is the perfect Yin to any lifestyle. Pilates helps establish the mind-body connection necessary for a balanced fitness routine, while learning proper movement patterns that will sustain healthy posture, and inspire new ways to strengthen the entire body.

Jo is a certified BASI Pilates Instructor and is also certified under Pilates Method Alliance, and is a qualified TRX suspension training instructor. Jo regularly practices Qigong and Reike; both similar in that they incorporate the study of physical and emotional healing through universal life energy. She is committed to continuing her Pilates education with workshops, self-practice, and supporting certifications. Jo currently serves on the Event Ambassador Committee for Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation where she has been active since 2010.

Jo enjoys cooking for family and friends, playing in the ocean, adventuring with her husband and kids, -and tiring out their Australian Shepherd, Koda Bear.

Christina Aguire Kolb

Pilates Instructor

In 2010, Christina hobbled into her first Pilates studio after a debilitating injury to her left ankle. From that moment, Christina has immersed herself into the benefits of Pilates. As a lifelong athlete, the gifts of Pilates allow Christina to continue to live her life on her terms. It was the only exercise method that allowed her to continue strengthening while healing her body. In July 2013, Christina began her training with BASI Pilates, training at Evolve Rehabilitation Pilates in Palos Verdes and BASI Headquarters in Costa Mesa soaking up as many lessons from amazing mentors and BASI founder, Rael Isacowitz. Since then, Christina has had the opportunity to teach at studios throughout Southern California. Christina is excited to be a part of San Roque Pilates, the studio with dedicated and delightful clients that share in her desire to be healthy, strong and live life fully.
